Meet The Team! Georgie - Customer Service Manager
What’s your role at Skinnydip?
Customer Service Manager

Did you go to uni?
Nope, uni was never on the agenda so instead I ran off to travel in Australia and worked in tourism – best decision ever!

Where & what did you study?
No studying but working in tourism meant that I worked with people from all over the world and so I learned a lot about different cultures and met some amazing people along the way.

What made you want to go into Customer Service?
I never actually thought about working in customer service which is funny because I love what I do and looking back now it totally makes send that I ended up where I am. I have always loved working with people and it makes me really happy to create a memorable experience for people and perhaps turn someone’s bad day into a good one.

I also enjoy managing a team, especially my team (they are the best).

How did you get to work at Skinnydip?
I actually started in retail in our Skinnydip stores and worked my way up! Retail was a great stepping stone to customer service as it all comes under the same umbrella and working within the stores gave me a really good understanding of not only our product but also our customers hearing their feedback first hand.

What’s your favourite part of working at Skinnydip?
There is too much to choose from! Other than the brand and products, 10000% the people/team. Tattoo’s, wine time and the endless amount of tequila rose are all definitely added bonuses.

I love my role being so involved with all aspects of customer service throughout the business. Sunday scaries are not a thing over here!

Describe a day in the life of a Customer Service Manager?
My favourite part of my job is that every day is different…

Every day however has to start with a coffee and then answering all our lovely customers emails.

Followed by more coffee.

Then the hearing the words “do you want to be in a TikTok” and being roped into filming whatever the latest trend is!

Checking in with our warehouse making sure everything is running smoothly and perhaps sorting through and updating our Depop account.

How could I forget being CEO of Skinnydip book club and organising/picking out the next book (this normally involves extensive booktok research).

AND if it’s a Friday and its 5pm…WINE TIME!

What are your current Skinnydip obsessions?
It’s got to be the “Sounds like a you problem graphic t-shirt” (I think we can all relate), the “Happy Cloud iPhone Shock Case”, the “Warped Heart AirPod’s Case” and the “Smile Makers The Firefighter” if you don’t know, get to know!

What are your top tips for someone wanting to become a Customer Service Manager?
The two things you need for this job are people skills and organisational skills. If you can do both to a high standard you will always do well in this role. I learn something new every single day so always keep asking questions and don’t be afraid to make mistakes!
